Outlander Knits

Outlander Knits

I have now made several Outlander Carolina Shawls and I absolutely adore them. I have also made several Through the Stones gauntlets. I love these as well – they knit up fast and are absolutely gorgeous. This pattern was my first ever attempt at cables and I am so glad I started with something simple. I think I’m getting the hang of it.

I recently decided to knit up a set of a shawl and gauntlets for our Daughters of the American Revolution District meeting. Each year, chapters donate gift baskets to be auctioned off in a silent auction to raise funds for our State Regent’s Project.

It finally cooled down enough the other day to have my daughter model the shawl and gauntlets with an 18th century dress for an impromptu photo shoot. I think the photos turned out really well! Enjoy!
